Campaign asset name builder and CSV manifest

Give each creative variant a name your team can trace. Enter a campaign label, date, placement and one variant label per line. The builder creates a filename plan with a sequence number for each row, so repeated variant labels still produce distinct filenames.

For: Marketing teams and creators organizing image, video and document variants before production or handoff. Use it to: Turn supplied campaign, date, placement and variant labels into a repeatable filename list and CSV manifest.

Screenshot of the working campaign filename planner for Autumn Open House on October 20, 2026, with two Photo A variants assigned distinct 001 and 002 filenames in the CSV output.

Plan consistent campaign filenames

Enter your own campaign details and up to 100 variant labels. Choose the intended file extension, then download the CSV manifest.

Labels use lower case, accents are simplified and separators become hyphens. Each part is limited to 60 UTF-8 bytes, keeping whole characters. The sequence keeps duplicate labels distinct. The CSV uses normalized labels.

This creates a filename plan. It does not rename or convert any files.

Build the filename plan

  • Use one stable campaign label your team recognizes.
  • Choose the date that belongs in this campaign's filenames. It is a naming field, not a scheduled publication action.
  • Describe the intended placement using your team's own terminology.
  • Enter a short label for every variant, then select the extension that matches the intended file format.

A predictable structure

Filenames use date_campaign_placement_sequence_variant.extension. Labels use lower case, accents are simplified and separators become hyphens. Each normalized label is limited to 60 UTF-8 bytes, keeping whole characters.

The CSV includes the date, normalized campaign and placement, sequence, normalized variant and filename. It deliberately uses the same normalized labels as the filenames.

Repeated labels stay distinct

The screenshot uses two “Photo A” rows. Their sequence values are 001 and 002, so their proposed filenames differ even though their labels match. Keep the manifest with the campaign files when handing work to another person.

Check before applying the names

  • Confirm the date and placement label match your team's convention.
  • Check that the selected extension matches the actual file format.
  • Review shortened labels for readability.
  • Apply the proposed names in your file manager or production workflow. This tool does not rename, upload, schedule or convert any files.
