Meme text fit preview with measured wrapping and overflow

Enter your complete text, box dimensions and font size. The preview marks a fit with a green border or height overflow with a red border. Download the diagnostic image and a full report that retains every wrapped line so you can revise the copy or box deliberately.

For: Creators checking whether a headline fits a known design box before composing an image. Use it to: Measure wrapped text against explicit width, height and font assumptions.

Actual text-fit tool with a supplied print-proof example, a 600 by 400 pixel text box, 48 pixel font and four measured lines requiring 276 pixels of height, plus real report and PNG exports.

Measure text in your chosen box

Supply text, a box width and height, and a font size. Review the wrapped version and full report; the preview clips text to the box and uses a red border when the text needs more height.

Measurement trims paragraph edges and folds repeated whitespace within each paragraph to one space. Blank lines are retained. It measures the wrapped version, not your original spacing.

Enter the full text you want to measure.

Text fit preview

Enter text and valid box settings to prepare the measured preview.

A red border marks height overflow. The preview clips text to the chosen box; read the full report before using the text elsewhere.

Your entered text and selected files stay in your browser.

Choose the box and keep the font fixed

Set a whole-pixel box width from 100 to 1600, height from 80 to 1600 and font size from 12 to 120. The tool measures Arial with the browser’s sans-serif fallback and uses an eight-pixel inner text inset. It wraps words and long strings without automatically shrinking the font.

Paragraph edges are trimmed and repeated whitespace inside each paragraph becomes one space. Blank lines remain, so the result measures the displayed wrapped version rather than preserving literal source spacing.

Use the full report when the border turns red

The example produces four lines, including a blank line, at a 65-pixel line advance. It needs 276 pixels of box height. A 400-pixel box fits; an 80-pixel box overflows by 196 pixels. The report keeps all four lines in either case.

The PNG is a diagnostic preview, not a finished text graphic: overflow is deliberately clipped to the chosen box and marked with a red border. Read the full report before using the text elsewhere. Browser font rendering can vary from the final design editor.

Revise one input and compare

  • Shorten the copy, increase the box height or choose a smaller font, then review the new measured result.
  • Download the text report with its font, width, line-advance and spacing assumptions for a designer.
  • An invalid dimension removes the previous export instead of leaving a stale fit result.
