Creative variant matrix builder with CSV export

See which creative combinations you are proposing before you assign production work. Enter one approved fact, then list objectives, formats and angles. The builder makes one numbered CSV row for each combination and includes empty columns for ownership, status and later result notes.

For: Small marketing teams turning one approved offer or product fact into a manageable creative production worklist. Use it to: Enumerate distinct proposed creative combinations for manual review and production, retaining the supplied fact on every row.

Build a creative variant matrix

Enter one approved fact and lists of objectives, formats and creative angles. Review up to 100 combinations and download the CSV worklist.

Duplicate trimmed lines are removed within each list. Every distinct objective × format × angle receives one row. For spreadsheet safety, a leading apostrophe is added to exported cells that could be treated as formulas.

Review the combinations and remove unsuitable rows before production. The matrix does not write ads, choose winners or predict performance.

Add at least one objective, format and angle.

Separate the fact from the creative choices

  • Enter one approved offer or product fact that every proposed variant should preserve.
  • Objectives describe the communication task, such as showing color choices or explaining collection.
  • Formats describe the asset to make, such as a square photo or a three-frame story.
  • Angles describe the presentation, such as a glaze close-up or a gift idea.
  • List one choice per line. Empty lines and repeated trimmed lines within a list are removed; capitalization remains significant. Exported cells that could be treated as spreadsheet formulas receive a leading apostrophe.

Understand how the rows are made

The row count is the number of distinct objectives multiplied by formats and angles. Two objectives, two formats and two angles produce eight rows. Every row keeps the supplied fact, one objective, one format and one angle.

The working example repeats “Show the color choices” in the input list. It is counted once, so the example still produces eight rows. The tool refuses output above 100 combinations; reduce the lists before exporting.

Choose what deserves production

The complete cross-product is a planning aid. Some combinations may be repetitive, impractical or unsuitable for the offer. Remove those rows and select the variants your team can actually make. A row is not an ad, a landing page or evidence that the creative will perform.

The CSV includes blank owner, status and result_notes columns for your own workflow. Add your production decisions there after downloading. The tool does not run campaigns, measure outcomes or rank the proposed combinations.

Example: planning a ceramic-mug campaign

The demonstration fact is “Ceramic mug available in green and cream.” Its choices produce numbered rows 001 through 008. One row pairs “Show the color choices,” “Square photo” and “Glaze detail”; another pairs “Explain collection,” “Three-frame story” and “Gift idea.” These are fictional planning inputs, not product claims about your business.

Copy the CSV or download creative-variant-matrix.csv. Open it in your spreadsheet tool, review the eight column headings and decide which rows move into production.
